Nicole’s mom stayed up late reading and thinking about everything she had seen and went to bed after revisiting the garden. Nicole got up, ate, and headed to the garden, where she had seen a light. The garden greets her as she looks for where the light has come from. She talks to the plants as she looks around, realizing the light came from a large sunflower. Looking at the light, she thinks it looks like a reflection, and this sends her thoughts back to the box in the barn and the things she found inside.
